I've been in network marketing for a number of years, and, after all this time, it still amazes me how some people behave who choose a networking business with hopes of gaining the rewards it provides over time. I've communicated with a couple of people recently (out of the hundreds in my network) who chose Stiforp as a passive income vehicle. We agreed that there a great long-term business here considering the market attractiveness of the product, the price point and the vision of the company. What we didn't agree on was their opinion that, even in being passive, a substantial income should have been showing itself for them already. Those who are following this blog know the company is now 7 months old, if you include the 6 week pre-launch period. Stiforp now has over 40,000 paying members, with 100 - 200 members being added every day.
It must be the atmosphere of today's society (and especially on the internet) wherein people are used to getting now what they want now - usually by paying money for anything of value with a free download or a coupon to pick up an item at a large name brand store. Instant gratification. For some reason, the people who really expect to be making large sums of income over a short period of time in our business don't quite understand that a great networking business, even with a forced matrix compensation plan, may take some time to build a strong return. I look at it this way: If you pay money into a system for a year, and if, after that year you are earning $100 a month, that $100 a month you are earning for doing nothing but turning over monthly fee - is pure profit. Chances are it will grow, too. If you're paying $10 a month for a year, you've paid $120. If you are making $100 a month at the end of a year for doing nothing, by that time you have received your $120 back in the months growing to $100 a month. So every month, if you are earning, say, $100 a month. That $100 a month is certainly worth investing that $10 a month to earn. That's just good business. And, if you want to, for that same, all inclusive $10 a month, you can use the great tools Stiforp provides to effectively grow your business. With tools that work well, I might add. The great products are there online, if you choose to use them. Your choice. Either way, it is a win win scenario.
I see a lot of success happening for me already, but hey - I'm not being passive about it.
Now, I don't know if those people with unrealistic expectations caused by a Microwave Mentality will ever get to $100 a month. But when I started, I was sure I would make money. I was sure I would, even if I chose to be passive. I was sold on the idea that this works, and I have proven it by my own marketing activities, all of them free. When these people signed up, they hoped just as I did, they would make money. I believe they will, if they don't quit. They're not sure, and they complained a little that they thought they'd be making more money by now.
It is my opinion that anyone who is not really sure about Stiforp might not really know what they have in their hands. I had already had a couple of people, out of all those I sponsored, to withdraw, not giving me any reason why. I realized long ago that not everyone, even those close to me, will see what I see. Expectations of a earning a large amount of money in a short period of time are unrealistic. When money changes hands, it is business. This is business. And anyone who is realistic will tell you this about ANY business: It takes time for a business to grow.
Sometimes it can hurt us to have unrealistic expectations. It has been my experience that if we throw in the towel because things are not like they were in our minds after six months, we can find ourselves forfeiting some great opportunities. My experience is that if success happens overnight, either someone somewhere is being lied to, or those who participate are lying to themselves. This is not a business wherein you put a few dollars into the machine and press the button and a few minutes (or days) later, the machine is going to give you more money than you put in. Such unrealistic expectations are the strongest symptoms of a "Microwave Mentality". Some people can't overcome that, and are constantly moving from one program to another. The fact is if they found one they truly believed in and stayed with (preferably one where they can watch the membership grow daily, even it its not in their network yet), the odds a lot better for BIG long-term success.
The magic about a business like ours, though, is that over time, though it may take longer than six months, or even 10 months (2 to 5 years is the average for most successful network marketing enterprises), you can see a large return over several years. For any business - if you have done your due diligence and you have seen proof that the growth of the business is benefiting others - don't get distracted by a Microwave Mentality. If you believe you have a good thing, give it your time, or at least some time for examination.
Whether or not you've found your vehicle to success, we invite you to join us in Stiforp. If you have a business, the tools are great, and you can substantially increase your income. If you don't have a business, I recommend Stiforp. It is my business and I'm having a lot of success!

The Fun Of Being In At The Beginning
This is actually the second BIG success I've had in online marketing. I was in at the beginning of something very strong in 1998, and over the next few years my income grew to around $8K a month. It was a great idea that brought that company into being at the time, but after a few years I began to see that the leader of the company was stuck in the paradigm that had brought him there. As we all know, the internet changes, and that's a good thing. Keeping abreast of the current need and atmosphere in the marketplace and then keeping your offer simple is a hard line to walk, if you choose to walk it at all. That company didn't do this. Times caught up with them, then passed them by, and rather than continue to promote a product that was obsolete, I let go of a good residual income. This should give you a clue as to why. To remain a part of that company, I was bound to a "no compete" clause. I was watching my income go down, yet to keep what I had at the moment, I could not promote anything else, nor could I do anything about the decline in income because the company was not progressive and did not offer anything innovative any longer.
There was a big lesson for me in letting that go. It's my responsibility as a person not to present feigned enthusiasm for that in which I no longer believe, even though it may benefit me in the short term financially. It's my responsibility as an entrepreneur to find that which fits in my life honestly, to see that the people who who are behind it are who they say they are, to find a system which is extraordinary and timely, and hopefully get in early enough so that the lifetime of the enterprise produces an extraordinary income. It is also my responsibility to let go of that which is merely good in order to have the best in a business where relationships are important.
I thought it would be really difficult to find such good working relationships as I had developed in my previous business. Because of the nature of network marketing, some of my network members chose to come with me in my new enterprise, but only one of those has shown interest enough to plant his feet and build a network. And that's OK. Because I got involved, one of the first interested people I met that I did not know was Gino Bouillon in Quebec, Canada. 6 months to the day later, he and I are both at a 4 Star leader level in Stiforp. We're having fun and watching our networks grow because this really works well and we both have been getting regular checks ever since we started.
To refine the feeling of finding those who really get it and see them take their business to the next level consistently, there was a post on our Facebook team page for Stiforp. The question was this: What did Gino do to have 17 new members in his network show up in a 6 hour period one evening (now a phenomenon we see regularly)? In my opportunity to reply, I found I was reporting on the fun we were having and being kinda buzzed by success. This is what I wrote:
"I already admire Gino a great deal. He's the leader who began working closely with me at the beginning and trusted me to share my experience straight up, as I always do. He followed some of my ideas down his own path and I did so with some of his. It has worked out well, but Gino had everything it takes coming in - he did due diligence and he asked me some important questions, and I knew right away he would be one of those people whose work would assist me in getting to 5 Star. I am at 4 Star now and Gino and the leaders on his team have done their part in my success. I hope I have contributed something for them so far.
Gino is a fine example of the idea that if you just go ahead and promote this, those who get it and will run with it will show up. He's so beyond me - he speaks both French and English fluently (and he has helped pioneer the French speaking community in Stiforp). Just a great guy - I never had to talk to him on the phone - but I did call him because I wanted to develop a friendship and we are doing well with that so far.
In answer to your question, my observation was that on this particular day, a segment of Gino's network, down about 3 levels sponsored someone in South Africa, then that person sponsored 2 who sponsored 2 who sponsored 2 until the original South African sponsor had (at the end of about 6 hours) an updated total of 16 new members. Again, that's all in about 6 hours. As I try to lead a large organization, I am finding that with this business, more than any other I have been associated with online, attracts people who have networks -- or else they just know a lot of people personally who know how to get excited.
I have met people who are much better at this than me, just because I have seen their work 4, 5, 6 or sometimes as much as 10 levels deep so far. And it is really fun watching your total network totals go up, refreshing every few minutes to see you have gained 2 or 3 new members an hour. And that really matters at 4 Star where I am now because of the $1 Infinity Override (there's another at 5 Star), as, according to the comp plan I receive $1 a month for every new member that's added to my network. Sometimes it's like getting a good raise every month on the already good income from other aspects of the comp plan. People get the concept of Stiforp - how we are offering a great product that everyone can use, from beginners to seasoned marketers - actually providing picks and shovels to the gold miners. As some of them strike gold, so do we, but along the way, people who already have successful businesses see that Stiforp is a rising star and know now is a very good time to get a position. And, I find that these sponsoring spikes are becoming more and more common in my own network as it continues to grow. 14 levels will hold a lot of people, and we're filling it up!"
I love being able to report success. You don't see a lot of that except in testimonials, and those are not in real time.
